Whenever we create or write a document onto the computer based application the basic size that is made use of is A4 size that can be quite a fussy affair as creative banners and ads or even simple kids project sheets can have larger sizes that might be difficult to operate upon digitally. Many scanners have the said problem when it comes to scanning any document or picture or paper sheet. Consistent technological developments and advancements have helped us since time immemorial to generate better results for creative and professional purposes that have led to development of numerous software applications that seamlessly integrate with our understanding capacities, and hence ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxer has been duly launched that facilitates scanning and aligning of multiple documents of varying sizes easily without any hassles.
ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxer upon launch sports a vibrant and neatly organized interface with the main options placed at the top and left pane and the rest of the controls arranged systematically that facilitates easy viewing and comprehension. This unique facility is capable to handle all types of scanning with all sizes of documents and sheets that can include children’s scrapbooks, kid’s art and poster work and even arranging maps. There are some illustrated scanning instructions available to make the usage very simple and interactive for the artist. It can automatically rotate, align and stitch sections of documents easily into single and seamless image files giving the look of the exact copy as was desired. The applications supports page sizes that range from newspaper page size, maps and long brochures along with magazine sizes and legal size documents.
ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxer certainly proves to be an enhanced and augmented utility for scanning woes that facilitates stitching of varied documents together without any visible seams and hence scores a rating of four points for its impressive performance and intuitive functionalities.
The user interface shows the sequence to scan different size documents. The HELP shows the same info as does the downloadable PDF. Not very helpful.
Follow the sequence and scan the sections of the oversized document. You are then given the choice to stitch it together in one or two dimensions. Make a choice and let it do it`s thing. The result is something like a Salvador Dahli painting. Once the stitching has been attempted, the original piece scans are automatically deleted. You are given a choice of keeping the new art or trying again (requiring re-scanning the document). Of the 4 documents I tried, only one could be stitched together properly. I re-read the 4 lines of instructions multiple times and tried different methods. Finally gave up after 3 hours. It would be great if there was some way to help the software along, such as manually orient or tell it the sequence of the pieces.
I wish I could get my $50 back.
